Udo's Oil® 3·6·9 Blend DiagramWHAT IS UDO’S OIL® 3·6·9 BLEND? Our multiple award-winning Udo’s Oil® 3·6·9 Blend is a mix of plant-based, unrefined, certified organic food oils. It provides people who care about health with a reliable, undamaged source of polyunsaturated omega-3 and -6 essential fatty acids (or EFAs) and monounsaturated omega-9 fatty acids, which are all excellent sources of energy, fat-soluble vitamins and other key nutrients, and are important components of all membranes of the trillions of cells in the body.

WHAT ARE ESSENTIAL FATTY ACIDS AND WHAT DO THEY DO? EFAs are responsible for vital biological functions such as cell growth and division, cell-to-cell communication, gene expression, eicosanoid hormone production, and many more.(1)(2) The body can make almost all the fatty acids it needs from other nutrients but lacks the enzymes required to synthesize either omega-3 or omega-6 essential fatty acids and therefore must obtain them directly from the diet (hence the name ‘essential’).(3)

WHY ARE CAREFULLY MADE EFAS IMPORTANT FOR HEALTH? Some of the greatest health concerns facing the Western diet today are the prevalence of omega-3 deficiency (99% of the population), the overabundance of industrial, highly-refined vegetable oils (mostly omega-6) in our food supply, and the toxic damage from processing and food preparation to which both these sensitive polyunsaturated oils are commonly subjected.(1)(3)(4)

    I have been reading “Fats That Heal Fats That Kill”. The book is excellent, a real work of art. I was particularly interested in what Udo had to say about the effects that good oils can have when taken internally for dry skin since I have had this problem for years, especially with dry cracked hands as I work in the construction industry. I have tried many different skin care lotions (some quite expensive) with not very good results. I regularly have 2 tablespoons of the Udo’s Oil 3·6·9 Blend with my meals morning and night but decide to bump it up to 4 tablespoons. In 2 days the dryness was gone and in 4 days the cracks had completely healed. What a great product…thanks from Melbourne!

    Just after completing my Masters in Psychology, I fortunately stumbled upon Udo Erasmus’ book ‘Fats That Heal Fats That Kill’. When I started investigating fats and oils after discovering that 60% of the brain is made up of fat, this book was luckily my first – and most important – stop. I am forever grateful for that serendipitous event and how it has shaped my research career, my health, and my family’s health – not in that order – for the past two decades.

    I use this product confidently, knowing full well that the creator, Udo Erasmus, is fully aware of how precious each and every oil molecule is and that its minimal processing is managed with great care to ensure its purity and full benefit.

    I have shared this wonderful product and its many benefits with more people than I can ever count – personally, in consultations and from stage – and am extremely grateful that my brain (and body) have been able to benefit from it for over two decades.     I was introduced to the oil and the book (Fats That Heal Fats That Kill) in 2003 by a friend of mine. Back then I had a lot of aches and pains in my body. I also had issues of severe stress and overweight. My friend suggested to switch to a healthy diet and try the oil, instead of just depending on medication.

    Since I was in college with a two year old baby (who has just turned 18 years in March this year), studying, focus, and energy was important as I was a single parent. So I started taking the oil which I also gave to my daughter.

    Though I had always taken good care of my skin, within a certain period of taking the oil, my friend started to compliment me on how my skin was glowing and velvety. This got me so excited so I decided to do a bit more research on Udo’s Oil.

    Since then I have introduced the oil to family, friends, even strangers! Whenever we discuss health, I always encourage people to try or do some research about the oil. Over the years I have had very positive feedback from others.

    Last month a gentleman in his 80s informed me that he started using the oil after I gave him some brochures and suggested he try it out. He got excited because he was concerned about increasing memory loss. I mentioned how I struggled as a child with learning difficulties (one of my main reasons I started taking the oil; I also encourage parents to give it to their kids).

    To-date, my daughter and I still use it. Especially when she has exams, I make sure she takes it to help her with her studies as the oil is good for brain function.

    I will continue introducing Udo’s Oil to more people who don’t know of it.
