Adding the Udo’s Oil gives the oats a creamier texture, and eliminates the “chalky” consistency often associated with overnight oats. It’s a blend of flax, sunflower, and sesame seed oils and coconut oil—my favorites!—containing the ideal ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 fats. Y’all know that I’m never one to shy away from dietary fat (remember, fat doesn’t make you fat!). The key to reaping the most benefits from your fat consumption is to make sure that it’s the right kind of fat. The 3·6·9 oil contains the fatty acids our body can’t make on its own. It’s also A+++ delicious.
½ cup old-fashioned rolled oats (not instant, not steel cut)
1 ¼ cup cashew milk
1 tablespoon Udo’s Oil 3·6·9 Blend
2-3 tablespoons chia seeds
1 teaspoon maca
¼ tablespoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon honey
Pinch sea salt
Granola, for topping
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Stir all ingredients but the granola together in a jar or bowl. Cover and let sit in refrigerator overnight;
- In the morning, stir again to combine and top with granola. Add a drizzle more honey if you desire.
